The once dilapidated Renaissance garden, which in the meantime has even been used as a camping site and sheep pasture, was redesigned from 1997 to 2001. Historical documents were hardly available, so it was decided to carefully reinterpret the historical complex in order to tell the story of the place further. The result is an outstanding piece of landscape architecture, a modern and at the same time historical garden with great urban design quality (design: Kienast Vogt Landschaftsarchitekten).
The ideal starting point for a hike on the Via Stockalper to the Simplon Pass.
