The Hinterautal Valley branches off from the Isar Valley in Scharnitz. It leads twelve kilometers into the Karwendel Mountains until you reach the source of the Isar River. The source of the Isar River is arguably one of the most beautiful spots in the entire Karwendel Mountains. Here, the three source streams of the beautiful, turquoise-blue Isar River converge. A place to linger and dream!
