Yes, very nice up here. However, the viewpoint is called "Koppenburg", not Cloppenburg. Is also correct on the weather vane. :-))The name is probably a medieval castle stables located here. The vantage point sits on the foremost rock outcrop, about 60 m northeast is still a piece of Wallrest preserved about the former castle itself is historically unknown.

A real castle is not always available where there is a castle on it! ;-) At any rate, no remnants or signs of an earlier castle have been found here. Nevertheless, the rock is steep above Muggendorf, which is easily accessible from behind, a worthwhile detour - are only a few steps away from the hiking trail (including the Frankenweg marker and the Wiesenttal Trail) with a beautiful view of the old, winding town center of Muggendorf and foresight to the "valley head" with the (formerly real castle :) Neideck as a guard on the rock spur above the Wiesent valley.
