Dwasieden the white castle by the sea or rather a lost place. But please be careful, it is not entirely without problems. There are holes in the ground and in some places the fuel bunker smells of diesel

Dwasieden Castle was the only building in northern Germany built of solid sandstone, granite and real marble. It was built from 1873 to 1877. Adolph von Hansemann, owner of the Disconto-Gesellschaft in Berlin (one of the richest men of the Bismarck era), commissioned this building. The architect was Friedrich Hitzig - a student of Friedrich Schinkel. The castle was a square, two-storey building, with arcades on the sides, which ended in open, temple-like pavilions.
Today, only remains of these porticos can be seen. From the main building "only" the basement rooms "stand".
From 1935 the area was used for military purposes and in 1948 the castle was blown up. The Marstall burned out in 1997. Until 1990, the People's Navy was stationed here.

The system has now fallen into disrepair and somehow also eerie. At the time of construction it was the most expensive property that was built on the island. Unfortunately, it would be destroyed in wartime.
