On the Sassnitz pier you can walk almost 1.5 kilometers across the Baltic Sea. It was built between 1889 and 1912 and takes its visitors past the picturesque town harbor which, with its numerous jetties, exudes a cosy, maritime flair.
In winter, especially when there is an icy east wind, the spray lays a glittering white veil over the green and white lighthouse on the tip of the pier. – A very impressive sight and a popular photo motif!

Danger. In winter it can get very slippery on the pier with frosty temperatures.

Fantastic ...
sit on the stones and marvel at the sunset, chill, listen to the sea and watch the screeching seagulls ...
a nightwalk ...

There are also several binoculars with which you can look into the distance for a euro.
