I was there on 05/15/2021. The first part of the way from the level crossing in the direction of the fish ponds is still quite OK, even if the former (spruce) forest has been cut down. In the further course, the forest has now freshly laid out a path the width of the street to be able to remove the felled wood from the forest. It will be beautiful and beautiful to hike again in 3 to 5 years at the earliest.

Hiking

A beautiful forest path up to the forest path through the idyllic Emstal. The Hessencourier railway line will accompany you for a good half of the route. The museum train steams past here on selected dates. The winding Ems then accompanies the remaining half of the way. Since a lot has been cut down here, young trees are looking for their way and growing close to the path.
