Berg Castle stands on a hill above the village. The construction goes back to a moated castle from the 10th century. Almost completely destroyed in World War II, the ruins became the property of the Saarland in 1950. It was then rebuilt in the following years. Today it houses a luxury hotel with a gourmet restaurant and a casino.
