Windegg Castle, also affectionately known as S' Bürgle, stands on the extreme tip of the island of Reichenau in Niederzell and was built in the 14th century as a monastic guest house. In 1417, Pope Martin V is said to have lived here for a while after his election at the Council of Constance. In the 17th century it was modernized. Today it is a leisure center and conference hotel.

Windeck Castle is a castle on the northwestern tip of the island of Reichenau in the district of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg. The building, which was rebuilt in Niederzell in 1667 in the late Renaissance style, replaced a castle built by the Reichenau ministerials in the 14th century.
