At this point - at the Barrage de Nisramont reservoir - the western and eastern Ourthe flow together. The Ourthe Occidentale (so-called western Urt) is about 49 kilometers long and rises 506 meters above sea level near the eponymous village of Ourt in the municipality of Libramont-Chevigny. The Ourthe Orientale (so-called eastern Urt), which is around ten kilometers shorter, rises 510 meters above sea level between Ourthe, Deiffelt and Beho.

The Ourthe is a river in the east of the Belgian Ardennes. It originates in the province of Luxembourg from two source rivers, which unite at the border of the municipalities of La Roche-en-Ardenne and Houffalize. The Ourthe is the water richest tributary of the Meuse.

The two source rivers here form the reservoir "Lac de Nisramont" - named after the neighboring village.

Here is a small hut overlooking the Ourthes.
