The Iseler is a 1,876 meter high mountain in the Allgäu. He is the local mountain of Oberjoch and Bad Hindelang. It belongs to the Kühgund group, whose highest mountain is the 1.907 meter high Kühgundkopf and forms together with this the northern end of the Rauhhorn train. The height of the fissure of the Iseler is at least 56 meters, its dominance 600 meters, with each of the Kühgundkopf reference mountain.

Perfect as an easy tour for those who bring a minimum level of fitness and surefootedness :-)

The Iseler is a mountain for summer and winter. In good condition, he is not very strenuous as a ski tour. It goes steadily uphill and you can enjoy from there a magnificent view of the western Allgäu all the way to Switzerland.

Fantastic view in all directions. Shortly before the summit, you will hike a few meters along the rope, which is not particularly problematic for experienced hikers.

Here you have of course a great view, you can combine the summit with the ridge path or the Salewa via ferrata (with appropriate equipment).

The Iseler is a main dolomite peak on a pedestal of Lias-Fleckenmergel and Kössener strata (ie interspersed fine-leaved marls with dark, dense and well-bedded limestones).

The Iseler summit is relatively easy to climb or hike. No special skills are required here. From the summit you have a wonderful view over the Ostrach Valley, the Tannheim Valley and the Allgäu High Alps.

With 1876 meters the second highest peak on the degree of the northern Rauhhornzuges.
The view of the surrounding mountain landscape is huge. The path to the Iseler summit requires not only certain surefootedness.

The short chimney on the via ferrata to the Iseler summit is tight and crisp. Above all, the descent back to the via ferrata requires some practice and concentration.

Great panoramic mountain and a worthwhile destination because of the Salewa via ferrata

Was there in 2017. The Iseler is the icing on the cake of the "smuggler path" and is well worth a detour.
