The Fünfmühlental begins in the Zimmerhof district, about 2 km northeast of the town center of Bad Rappenau and extends to the Siegelsbach-Gundelsheim road. One of the most beautiful hiking trails in the region leads along the forest-lined valley. Until after the Second World War, five water mills were in operation there, each bearing the name of their respective owners. Today there is a private fallow deer enclosure in this romantic valley. Some of the spa guest hikes run by the guest information center lead into this valley. The distance from Zimmerhof through the Fünfmühlental to Guttenberg Castle is around 5 km. In Zimmerhof, on a forest barbecue area and in the “Mühlenschenke” at the end of the valley, you can have a good rest. In dry weather the path is also suitable for strollers. Nice to walk and if you stay on the main path it is also recommended with a pram or handcart, but the short detour along the stream is just nice.
