Göttinger designate the intersection Weender Straße - Theater Street or Prinzenstraße as "The navel". It is often said: "We meet at the navel". Many think that the bronze artwork set up there since the early 1980s is "The Navel," but that's not true. The bronze is called "The Dance" and was created by Bernd Altenstein.
