Mountain Biking Highlight (Segment)
Location: Abbots Leigh, South West England, England, United Kingdom
The Pill Path, a bridleway that runs along the River Avon on the opposite side to the Portway, is a great way to access Leigh Woods from the city or enjoy looking up at Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge. Follow the path all the way along the river to get to Pill, the village that gives the track its name.

Enjoy the ride along the river, if you go into the woods at the double bridge it can get pretty rough if wet.

If you fancy doing a loop you can ride out on the portway, go over the Avon Bridge and then come back on this pathway. Its fairly flat. Its does get a bit dirty in places when wet. You can cycle at a half decent pace but watch out for walkers and dogs.

Pleasant path between Pill and Clifton. Path is a bit too rough and muddy for road tyres but ok on sturdier touring tyres.
