Road bike route through Ashton Court. Often busy with walkers and mountain bikers but wide and open enough to happily share the road. A good but hilly alternative to the main roads. Beware the speed bumps though

Road cycling

Don’t try to go fast down the big hill. Speed bumps pedestrians kids and dogs.
I say this as a cyclist and dog Walker. Some cyclists fly down on busy weekends which doesn’t impress anyone and is plain selfish- if you want a fast descent go along beggar bush lane and down clerken combe instead

Road cycling

A very popular place to ride, in the summer it feels like you're way out of Bristol. Be careful for the dog walkers, children and the speed bumps on the way down. Definitely one of the nicest ways to get in and out of Bristol or just for a gentle cycle to get out of the city.
