Quite an exciting story when the bridge goes up.
The Schlei Bridge in Kappeln is a two-wing double bascule bridge that crosses the Schlei and thus connects the landscapes of Angeln and Schwansen. It was built from 2000 to 2002 and opened to traffic on December 2, 2002. The B 203 and a footpath and cycle path lead across the bridge in four lanes.
