    Tradition Through the Ages

The old post mill was replaced between 1862 and 1864 by the construction of a new three-story gallery-style Dutch mill. The mill's active history, with milling and agricultural trade, lasted until the 1970s.

The historic building was donated to the municipality of Holtland on October 9, 1992. In return, the municipality undertook to completely renovate the mill and make it permanently accessible to the public.

As part of the village renewal plan, the municipality of Holtland was able to restore what is now a "landmark of the municipality" to full functionality. Thanks to its generous open spaces and its 24-meter height, the Holtland Mill is visible from afar.

Trained volunteer millers take care of the special technology and provide impressive insights and explanations of this special monument during their tours.

The Holtländer Mühle is a well restored gallery Dutch in working condition. Weddings are also held here on the outskirts of Holtland. A cafe is also run here on a regular basis on a voluntary basis. There are also sanitary facilities for guests. So all in all a nice destination.
