Silbermann, a great organ builder, was born in Kleinbobritzsch, grew up in Frauenstein and had his workshop in Freiberg.

Information:
Silbermann's first organ, which he built for the church, was destroyed in a fire. He then built a new one for the town, which also fell victim to the flames. Sadly, Silbermann had passed away by then. This tragic story was the impetus for erecting a monument to Silbermann. That is why two organ manuals stand in the market square.
