Road Cycling Highlight

Bormio is a fairly well-known winter sports resort. What makes Bormio extremely likeable, however, is the fact that this small town has completely retained its idyllic atmosphere. No sign of sophisticated, artificial hotels. Instead, there are many small, cozy accommodations where Mama Leone herself is still in the kitchen and the owner tries to engage you in conversation while he looks after your bike - in Italian, of course. The cozy, authentic old town immediately puts you in a vacation feeling. The only thing that takes a little getting used to is the (also extremely authentic) Italian relaxed atmosphere - the town only really comes to life in the afternoon.

It is an ideal town to set as a base camp and plan several circular cycling routes. In addition to the tour possibilities, with Bormio you ensure that you have all kinds of services without giving up the tranquility of a high mountain town.
It is a town with a historic pedestrian center with all types of commerce. There are several places to have an aperitif. In summer, it is very lively in the afternoons, before dinner.
I recommend the Enoteca Guanella and its restaurant.
