The Nieuport Memorial in Nieuwpoort is a memorial in honour of the British soldiers who died during the First World War. The monument, designed by William Bryce Binnie, consists of a central pylon of Euville stone, guarded by three recumbent lions. Bronze plaques around the pylon bear the names of 547 British officers and men with no known grave. The memorial commemorates the soldiers who died during the defence of Antwerp in 1914 and the fighting on the Yser Front from June to November 1917. It was unveiled on 1 July 1928 by Sir George Macdonogh.
