If you don't want to use the Promnitz ferry in Riesa to drive the Elbradweg on the other side, you can use the Elbbrücke in Riesa. Travel time to the right or left bank of the Elbe is 2-3 minutes and saves the ferry costs. The only disadvantage is the rather heavy traffic on the bridge.
