The restored obelisk is reminiscent of the held maneuver August the Strong of 1730, in the vernacular called "The Lustlager".

One of the four surviving obelisks of the Zeithainer Lustlager stands here and you can see it up close. The other three are in the middle of fields near Streumen. An information board also provides information on the history of the Zeithain military training area.

As a boundary stone at the old camp, this bears witness to the so-called "Zeithainer Lustlager". August the Strong is said to have discovered the area for his military exercises, but because, in addition to the military exercises, much more was celebrated and slept at night, the name arose after the ceremonial in the vernacular "Zeithainer Lustlager" Today, next to the obelisk, there is a trench that you can climb into via a ladder... while shots and bangs can be heard from afar because the ordnance recovery is working - well, who likes it....
