This is not the Schäferbrunnen, but the Grauentalquelle. In the first half of the 20th century, the spring served as a water supply for Böttingen. I don't know where the water is going now. The water disappears somewhere up to the Lippacher oil mill and then reappears down there in rusty and concrete dumps. The creek bed from here to below is therefore largely dry!
The barbecue area is very luxurious with 2 swivel grills
