Great view and a cozy hut. The highest point is marked by a monument and those who do not want to go up can take the cable car.

The Unternberg is a 1425 meter high mountain south of Ruhpolding in Bavaria.

It is located in the Chiemgau Alps and can be reached either by the Unternberg cable car built in 1971 or by an easy mountain hike. From the Unternberg Alm you have a good view of the Poschinger Wand, the Brandstein and the Hochfelln. In addition, there is a very good view of Ruhpolding and the Chiemsee in the background.
