Landmark of the Gemarkungen of Pfinztal, Walzbachtal and Weingarten with a beautiful bench at a forest edge.
August 13, 2017
Nice place on Otto-Finkentscher Weg with a view of the Heuberg. Historical boundary stone worth seeing and a quiet rest area with a wooden bench at the edge of the forest. A Dreimärker (here “triangular marker”) marks the meeting of three districts. This of course makes them significantly rarer than normal boundary stones.

The point of contact between the districts of Pfinztal, Walzbachtal and Weingarten is marked by the so-called triangular landmark, popularly known as the "Dreimärkerstein". It is a columnar landmark with a rounded top. For the people of Pfinztal, to find it means to go to the forest district "Großer Wald" in the district of Berghausen. From Walzbachtal you set out for the "Heuberg" area in the district of Jöhlingen and the people of Weingarten looked for the "Dreiecker Stein" forest district. Each of the three municipalities therefore owns a third of this special boundary stone.
