A nice place. He is the starting point for the 14th stage of the Eifelsteig.

The Bruch mill is one of the oldest salt mills, it was already referred to as a ban mill in the freedom letter for the Bruch valley from 1284. The mill was probably rebuilt in 1558 and remained in the possession of the Counts of Kesselstadt until 1882. During this time, the Brucher Mühle was divided into the following operating areas: grinding mill, oil mill and sawmill. As early as 1909, the miller Molitor was supplying electricity to some private buildings next to his mill. Just four years later, the community of Bruch signed a contract with him to supply the entire village with electrical energy, which was transferred to RWE in 1930. Milling ceased operations in 1954 and the flour mill and sawmill were converted into residential buildings. The oil mill has been completely preserved in its structural structure and was extensively renovated and repaired in 1984/85, including the entire mill technology. The grinder with pan mill and its two rotor stones, heating furnace and press and the old chamber of the grinder with furnishings can be visited at any time. Groups of 8 or more can book an interesting tour of the mill with the current owner, Ms. Birgit Molitor, for a small donation. Source: eifel.info/a-historische-oelmuehle-in-brucheifel
