Until 1962, it was the main production pit of the Sulzbach mining industry.
At the time of the highest production after World War II (1958), up to 2000 tons of ore were mined here every day.
From 1950 underground tunneling towards Annaschacht.
Approx. 1000 miners worked here in 3 shifts.
The ore was extracted above ground with a cable car to the Max Hütte.
