The small stable Hansgörgel was a high medieval Adelsburg unknown ständischer assignment. There are no historical news about the castle, neither its builder nor its name is known. Maybe it is related to the lords of Krumbach, a vassals of the Lords of Rothenberg, 1236 was mentioned a Reinmar von Crumbach. However, documentary evidence is lacking. [4] However, according to the size of the castle, its builder must have been significant. Finds of ceramics and mortar remains refer the castle to the 13th century.
The castle was located in the area of a prehistoric hill settlement. The place of the castle is densely wooded, preserved only the neck trench with inner wall and a section trench, which separated the outer bailey from the main castle.
