The visitor center of the landscape park Duisburg-Nord is located in the main switching house together with the restaurant and the park administration. The building can be found a few meters behind the park entrance on Emscherstrasse. A colorful stele marks the entrance.

The tourist center is located where 110,000 volts of electricity used to be fed into the network of the smelter. Only two huge transformers - one in the neighboring Hauptschalthaus restaurant and one in the visitor center - are reminiscent of the original use of the building.

The visitor center is the first port of call for tourists. In addition to information about the landscape park and the Ruhr area, park maps and event tickets can also be purchased here. The visitor center is also the starting point and booking center for the many park tours.
