The tower stands on an exposed headland, defying the Atlantic storms for centuries and overlooking the islands of Inishbofin and Inishark. For cyclists on the Renvyle Loop, this is a mystical stop: the combination of crumbling walls, grazing sheep, and the crashing waves below makes it one of the most atmospheric places in Connemara.
