The Möhnequelle unfortunately does not run as long water as it did many years ago. Nevertheless, it is worth a visit.

The source of the Möhne was renatured as a stratified spring - an atmospherically attractive place.

"... The Möhnequelle is located directly on the Briloner Kammweg and on the Rothaarsteig. The Möhne is the first large tributary of the Ruhr, which it takes up after 67.6 kilometers at Neheim. Anyone who would like to enjoy a view of Brilon can take a short detour to the make the old ski jump at Poppenberg, which is about 100 meters west of the Möhnequelle.
The Möhnequelle is not always water-bearing! ..."
