Best Hikes to Bornstein (Bruchhauser Steine)

Tips

  • The Bruchhauser Stones are freely accessible at all times from all of the surrounding hiking trails. Entrance is only to be paid if you come through the main entrance. In good weather you have a wonderful view here.

  • Climbing has not been allowed on the four porphyry rocks since the late 1980s (although other areas show how compatibility with nature conservation and peregrine falcon breeding can be organized). Fortunately, nature conservation did not fully prevail, which means that the area is still accessible, at least for hikers (for an entrance fee). On the field stone you can climb up a staircase and enjoy the view.

  • The Bornstein is the largest rock of the Bruchhauser stones with a height of 92 meters and is really impressive.
