The Ruhr reservoir lies between Bochum and Witten, so to speak, at the foot of the Ruhruni Bochum. It is a popular destination for the residents of Bochum and the surrounding area. There are now three asphalt paths around the lake for those looking for relaxation. One for pedestrians, one for inline skaters and one for cyclists. Most of the time it works. ;) By the way, a lap around the lake is about eight kilometers long.

At various points, "meals" are established; everything is available from the shack to the good restaurant.
There are also several playgrounds available, so you can drink a coffee in peace, while the little ones make the playground unsafe.
And if the lap is too long, you can shorten the round with the passenger ship.
All you have to do is make sure that there are two ships; one drives only on the lake, the other drives up the Ruhr.
Those arriving by car use one of the three parking lots, the largest being Heveney Harbor.
