The forest waterworks near Swinoujscie offer a fascinating mix of history and nature. For runners and joggers, the route there is a pleasant route through the forest, with the path framed by impressive nature. The combination of forest idyll and historical elements makes this route particularly varied.Just the thought that the waterworks played such an important role that the border was even moved in 1951 to give it into Polish hands puts the place in a very special light. The old red brick buildings almost seem like a journey back in time - and on your run you can easily imagine how the water for Swinoujscie was once extracted here.If you want to treat yourself to a short break, grab a bench nearby and enjoy the peace of the forest. Here you can not only experience the route, but also a piece of European history in a very unique way!
