Here the Second World War and its effects and victims of the island were worked up very well. I recommend everyone to take the path once you are on the island. On the Golm, the highest elevation in Usedom (69m), a military cemetery was built in 1944. More than 250 marines, like the crew of a sunken submarine, and at least 1,000 members of the army and air force found their final resting place here until the end of the war.
