Hiking

Here the Second World War and its effects and victims of the island were worked up very well. I recommend everyone to take the path once you are on the island. Especially the information boards and excerpts told by people from Usedom in the small house are very good and bring the topic closer to you in a different way. If you come out of the little house back to the cemetery, you see the whole thing differently. Personally, the memorial made me think. So definitely recommend it!

Hiking

On the Golm, the highest elevation in Usedom (69m), a military cemetery was built in 1944. More than 250 marines, like the crew of a sunken submarine, and at least 1,000 members of the army and air force found their final resting place here until the end of the war.
