Wallstraße was originally called Annaturm-Wall (as it was in the city map from 1829) because it began at the Annaturm and led along the city wall to the Kessenicher Tor (see also "Annaturmstraße").

The Pitschentürmchen bordered the church wall and was destroyed except for a few foundations during the Second World War. The Pitschentürmchen as part of the city fortifications was destroyed in 1702 along with other parts of the city wall, and in 1738 an apartment was built over it. The city tax recipient lived here at the beginning of the 18th century (until 1813). Presumably, the name goes back to the tax recipient who pissed off the money from the citizens. The church wall flows into Kessenicher Straße, where the Kessenicher Tor was until 1842. Source: euskirchen.de/nc/stadtinfo/strassennamen/details-zur-strasse/?callItem=693
