Village des Bories

The Bories are a beautiful place, especially if you are here outside of the holiday season and have almost the whole museum village to yourself. Then you can sit for a while in one of the stone huts, enjoy the atmosphere and admire how carefully the stones have been chosen to fit together.

Former village with the typical small stone foundations - created without mortar. The village is now an open-air museum.

It's worth it! Old tools are on display in the houses, there is a room with various information boards and video information, and this makes it easy to imagine life in this village.
A visit to the Bories can be easily combined with a hike to the Abbaye Senanque and through the three impressive gorges around Gordes.
