Tips
On the way on the Ostfriesland-Wanderweg one hikes on the longest and at the same time oldest hiking route in Ostfriesland. The Ostfriesland hiking trail runs a good part of the disused stretch of the Leer-Aurich-Wittmund small railway. The route was expanded to the East Frisia hiking trail at the end of the 1970s. The popular “Ossiloop” fun run is held here every year.
