Built in the early 1950s with subsequent renovations, the Monte Aiona – Pratomollo refuge is an imposing building that stands at 1503 m a.s.l. on the edge of the wide marshy plateau of Pratomollo (1498 m), surrounded by marvelous and ancient beech woods and on which large rocky outcrops of ophiolites emerge.
