More than 700 different sacks - from probably the smallest mail sack in the world, which measures only a few centimeters, to the largest one, a hop sack - can be seen in the German Sack Museum. The only museum of its kind in Germany, which is housed in an almost 100 year old brick building - the former granary - is a reminder that sacks were once valuables that were used for as long as possible: they were cherished, cared for and carefully stored.
