The Herzogweiher is located in the 3 hamlet corner of Hardenburg / Hausen / Grethen.

In the middle of the pond is a small island that could be reached in childhood by rowing boat or ice skates.

The ACI fishing club has its clubhouse there, there is a small parking lot in front of the log cabin, a hike around the pond can be done in approx. 20 minutes.

Nettomarkt, Naturfreundehaus in the immediate vicinity, the ruined monastery towers high above the pond.
