Although Tribsees does not look attractive at cursory, there are some noteworthy locations when you take a closer look. This includes the work of art "Rotation" on the mill forecourt created by Klaus-Joachim Albert. It is meant to commemorate the former watermill and the course of the Trebel.
The Tribseese Thomaskirche from 13./15. Century is part of the way to brick Gothic and is currently being restored. Right next to it you can visit the Royal Prison Center - now a local history museum, tourist information and potato museum.
Tribsees still has two city gates, the mill gate and the stone gate from the 13th century.
Despite 1999 incorporations (Landsdorf, Siemersdorf, Rekentin and Stremlow), the population of Tribsees has fallen by about a third (2,732 inhabitants in 2015), which is reflected in the cityscape. Tribsees has a rest area for water walkers with attached rental station. In Trebeltal one comes, partly through nature reserves, on the natural river to Demmin, where the Trebel flows into the Peene.

Pretty, but unfortunately as good as extinct village. A lovingly prepared place in the center invites you to linger.
