At this intersection the probably oldest road sign in the country is waiting for you. At least its reconstruction. The message, carved in stone, was aimed at the drivers, who were supposed to put on special wooden cycling shoes to protect the sandstone pavement and who also had to drive carefully. So please: If you are embarrassed to have to dismount, be careful with the cleats of your clipless shoes.

This unique corridor monument once served as a traffic sign. The inscription on this stone reads: "L.R.B.Z." (District district Erbach) - "who beside the wall stone drives and without Rathmeister, delicious 1 gulden 30 (Kreuzer), penalty 1831". Wall stones are boundary stones on the street. The carter is asked to stay on the way and put on a cycling shoe on the descent. For the sake of simplicity, one usually blocked the rear wheels with the aid of a chain, without underlaying the prescribed wheel shoe the iron car tire for the protection of the road.
