Tips
Exactly opposite the Gänsehäufl outdoor swimming pool is this great meadow where you can spend wonderfully warm days in the shade. The Danube cycle path is routed around the meadow, so that bathers have safe access to the Old Danube along its entire width. There are plenty of seats and garbage bins available, as well as clean toilets. When the weather is good, a drinks shop is also open.

Free access to the OLD DANUBE. The area of the path is reinforced with concrete blocks over a length of around 50 meters on both sides. This interrupts the "rushing through" of anything that has more than 1 wheel. Several benches and tables invite you to relax. Trees provide shade on hot days. Stairs lead into the cool water in several places. Dogs are also allowed to splash around with their owners.
