The Schlitz is a 13.3 km long tributary of the Fulda. It is being built in Bad Salzschlirf, where Altefeld and Lauter flow together. Contemplative little river that flows into the Fulda. A number of rivers have their source in the Vogelsberg region and drain via detours into the Rhine and Weser.
