Car-free crossing over the Albert Canal, followed on the west side by a long but never steep climb up towards the plateau. The road surface is poor, which clearly does not make a continuous connection ... which is perfect for cyclists ;-)

The Lanaye Bridge, part of the fourth Lanaye Lock in Belgium, is a structure that connects the Albert Canal to the Meuse River. It was completed between 2011 and 2016 by BESIX and has a cost of 110 million euros. This bridge facilitates the traffic of large convoys, being vital for the transport of goods in the region.
