Car-free crossing over the Albert Canal, followed on the west side by a long but never steep climb up towards the plateau. The road surface is poor, which clearly does not make a continuous connection ... which is perfect for cyclists ;-)

The Lanaye Bridge, part of the fourth Lanaye Lock in Belgium, is a structure that connects the Albert Canal to the Meuse River. It was completed between 2011 and 2016 by BESIX and has a cost of 110 million euros. This bridge facilitates the traffic of large convoys, being vital for the transport of goods in the region. In addition, special measures were taken to protect the local flora and fauna due to its location in a Natura 2000 protected area.
