The small village of Buonconvento is located within the municipality of Siena and rises along the ancient Via Francigena. It has a small but fascinating historic centre, where the main church, the town hall and two museums are located.

Buonconvento with its approximately three thousand inhabitants is a typical place in the Crete Senesi, the countryside south of Siena. Especially its picturesque old town from the 14th century and its palazzi invite to a longer break. You should also take a look at the historic city gate, the Porta Senese.

Buonconvento is a nice little town to stay for a night. In the middle of the most famous White Roads where to watch the Pro race Strade Bianche or where to make a stop during l’Eroica gravel tour.
