Steep is cool! The ascent to the almost 2,700 meter high Chaschauna pass could be traded under this motto. It is not for nothing that it is part of the “Swiss National Park Bike Marathon”.

Very fit bikers drive at least as far as the Rifugio Cassana. From then on it will be a matter of pushing for everyone. The last few meters to the top of the pass can be tackled in the saddle again. The panorama up here and the view in general along the whole route is overwhelming. So it hardly matters if you give yourself a little more time on the track than the racers at the marathon.

A great ride that I didn't feel like tackling with my Gravel and I took an eMTB. The track is very demanding and requires concentration and training but when you get to the top all the fatigue passes. The landscape is gorgeous with the peaks of the Bernina and Cevedale on display. The trail then continues in Swiss. About 2.5km long and 600m altitude difference. All uphill and many disconnected and narrow sections. The descent is hard and must be faced with the right energy, I made two falls and then played other outings for 4 days. Finished tip Cassana I headed to Carosello3000 and I closed the day in style !!!
