After the inauguration in 1324, pilgrims were granted a 40-day indulgence from purgatory. This is stated in a certificate of indulgence of the Pope in Avignon from 1333, which is issued as a copy in the entrance to the church. After the Reformation, indulgences were also abolished here. Today it is mainly used as a parish church.
