The Schwanentorbrücke crosses the Duisburg inner harbor near the town hall. In its current form, the bridge was inaugurated in 1950. Until around 2002, the lifting bridge was in regular use so that cargo ships could dock at the RWSG warehouse, the last shipping company in the inner harbor. Today the North Rhine-Westphalia State Archives are housed there.
