The manor house was built in 1727 in the Régence style, a variety of French rococo. It's a Maison de Plaisance, a pleasure palace. It was built by the von Wartensleben noble dynasty, who had a great influence on Prussian-German history.

The castle-like manor house in the middle of the village, also known as the Edelhof, was the ancestral home of the Eckersten (Exten) family in the Middle Ages. A notable feature of this large farm complex is the manor house, built in 1727 in the late Baroque Regency style, whose mansard roof is crowned by a lantern. It is the most magnificent noble building of this era in the Schaumburg region. The outdoor area can be accessed up to the roundabout.
